About TechNet Augusta 

TechNet Augusta 2022 gives participants the opportunity to examine and explore the intricacies of the cyber domain. With assistance from the U.S. Army Cyber Center of Excellence and industry experts, the conference is designed to open the lines of communication and facilitate networking, education and problem solving. Leaders and operators also discuss the procurement challenges the military, government and industry face during a time of uncertain budgets and runaway technology advances.

Who attends TechNet Augusta? 

Cyber operations are a challenging mission for the U.S. Army and greater government community that builds, operates, and defends the Army's networks. Attendees include members of U.S. Army Cyber Command, the Army Cyber Center of Excellence, PEO offices, the Army CIO and G6 Offices, and related commands, as well as a mix of service cyber components, agencies, industry, academia and the military services.

Discussions will focus on leveraging innovative technology, advancing cybersecurity and building new relationships between the military, academia and industry sectors.

• Description: The network is foundational to Army modernization by enabling the speed, range and convergence required to achieve decision dominance and overmatch. In support of the Secretary of the Army's objective to become more data centric, the Army is delivering new capabilities and integrating data-centric operational concepts into Project Convergence experimentation and unit operational exercises in the Indo-Pacific and Europe. The Army's continued momentum in simultaneously fielding and developing several capability sets, aligned to the Army Unified Network Plan and Digital Transformation Strategy, will deliver and modernize the tactical network for the Army of 2030.

• Description: Developing a comprehensive situational awareness capability requires the ability to connect sensor data from multiple domains across the enterprise. In DoD, this effort is complicated by decentralized data sources, tactical networks experiencing intermittent comms and of course multi domain networks at various classification levels. While traditional approaches to situational awareness typically involve a data lake approach which requires selective forwarding of data to centralized locations, valuable insights could be lost because data is typically restricted by classification domain and not all the data is accessible. WWT will show a new approach for situational awareness and data analytics that can provide more comprehensive access to data across the department as well as allow for powerful analytics designed to identify adversaries and provide better awareness. A consistent scalable platform enabled by a cross domain solution creates the foundation to rapidly ingest data across multiple domains for faster analysis, rapid application updates through the CI/CD pipeline and simplified training and operations requirements. Additionally, emerging concepts like federated machine learning will allow the development and training of powerful AI/ML models without the need to move large amounts of data to a centralized location through congested networks yet maintain security and data protection of data at various classification levels. During this presentation we will deep dive in to these concepts for data aggregation across networks and discuss this new paradigm. We will include lessons learned from our efforts with a DoD Customer.

Join Parsons for the AFCEA TechNet International Military and Collegiate Capture the Flag (CTF) at the Georgia Cyber Center or virtually. The International Military and Collegiate Level CTF will be a 4-hour, jeopardy style event. Military and college teams from across the world will compete highlighting their skills, resiliency, and achievements. Topics covered for this event will include Binary Exploitation, Reverse Engineering, Web Exploitation, Cryptography, Forensics, and Security.
