APGA Pro, Eastside Golf Founder Win WWT Championship Pro-Am
Eastside Golf Founder Olajuwon Ajanaku and Advocates Professional Golf Association (APGA) professional Aaron Beverly headlined the winning team at the 2024 Dunes Pro-Am presented by Cisco, hosted at the World Wide Technology Championship in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
Ajanaku founded Eastside Golf, a lifestyle golf brand designed to make golf more attractive to a younger and more diverse generation, in 2019 and has grown the brand with strategic partnerships that have helped make the game of golf more accessible for those not actively engaged with the sport. He played golf at Morehouse College.
Cisco Area Vice President Chuck Moser, WWT Board Advisor Jair Clarke and WWT Vice President Joe Castro were also on the winning team.
Clarke also serves as CEO and Chief AI Officer of Laigic, a supplemental AI and tech consulting/advisory firm. He previously served as a global CTO with Microsoft responsible for all technology and processes at scale to empower customers, partners and sellers.
"Winning this PGA pro-am tournament with such an incredibly diverse team represents who WWT is," Clarke said. "Competing alongside Olajuwon, who is breaking boundaries in the sport; Chuck, a leader in driving innovation; Joe from World Wide Technology, a one-of-a-kind powerhouse; and Aaron Beverly, an extraordinary talent from the APGA — it shows the impact of partnerships and exemplifies a shared passion that spans all boundaries."
Beverly has been an APGA professional since 2018 and was looking to qualify for the PGA TOUR's World Wide Technology Championship. He is part of the World Wide Technology Player Development Program, which is an all-encompassing initiative to nurture and elevate APGA top performers to greatness. Through this program, selected members, including Beverly, receive top-tier coaching and benefit from customized club fittings, fitness evaluations, mentorship opportunities, and more.
