In the 21st century, the threat environment around the world is unpredictable and constantly changing. That's why WWT offers U.S. DoD and U.S. civilian agencies advanced Mobile Field Kit (MFK) software. WWT's MFK can be used to secure any perimeter quickly and thoroughly from a chemical, biological, radiological or nuclear (CBRN) threat. The MFK is ideal for use in complex and fast-moving situations to acquire, store, assess and share information with tactical teams and across organizational boundaries.
A platform for detection and prevention
This vendor-agnostic threat-monitoring system provides a single view of an area ("common operational picture") using up to 50 sensors from numerous vendors in a wide range of situations, from military operations to natural disaster sites and national sporting events. WWT's MFK provides the platform needed for deployment across a city or halfway around the world. Users typically deploy with MFK installed on Intel®-based rugged tablets and laptop computers, CBRN sensors and tactical communications. MFK will run on any IP-based network to include radios, cellular networks and satellite networks.
Threat information, mission data and alerts can be viewed by a remote operations center as well as on-site via mobile devices or tablets. Any device that can send data can be integrated with the advanced, customizable MFK, including security cameras, motion detectors, physiological sensors, LIDAR mappers and various commercial and industrial sensors.
Validated for federal agency use
WWT's MFK is the tool of choice for many government agencies and is a certified Program of Record by the U.S. Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defense. Although other mobile sensor tools are available in the marketplace, few can support as many sensors on one platform and provide a comprehensive view of all sensor data on a user-friendly dashboard.
Recently, WWT's MFK was used to assess air quality and harmful gases and chemicals resulting from the 2018 volcanic eruption on the Big Island of Hawaii. Numerous chemical sensors were deployed around the island to monitor air quality and aid evacuation priorities. In other natural disasters, the cross-platform capabilities of the MFK have allowed many agencies to share and access critical information, including the Federal Emergency Management Agency, U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
WWT works with each agency to customize the software for their specific needs. MFK engineers can take advantage of WWT's Advanced Technology Center, a highly collaborative environment for public sector customers and WWT staff to design, build, educate, demo and deploy custom solutions. This sandbox environment allows easier collaboration and much greater efficiency due to the ATC's large scale, dedicated management and extensive tools. The ATC brings all the pieces together, from software to device to server, through WWT's well-established partnerships with industry-leading technology companies such as Intel, Dell, HP and Cisco.
