Cisco CCO ID
In order to obtain Cisco Software Licenses, you must have an active Cisco CCO ID.
Cisco Smart Account
Cisco Smart Accounts offer a simple-to-use, centralized and organized solution to license management. Serving as a central repository, Smart Accounts give full visibility into your Cisco software assets across your organization. You can view, store, manage, and move Cisco software assets to where they are needed, when they are needed.
Smart Account Roles
Smart Account Approver: Can ONLY approve Smart Account legal agreements on behalf of the Account Owner. NO user or Administrator privileges.
Smart Account Administrator: Manages ALL aspects of the Smart Account and ALL Virtual Accounts. The Smart Account Administrator can view and manage license inventory for the entire Smart Account and perform account management activities. This is the highest level of access.
Smart Account User: Similar to the Smart Account Administrator role as they have visibility into the entire Smart Account and ALL Virtual Accounts and they can conduct any license management activity across those Virtual Accounts. However, they do NOT have Admin privileges such as creating Virtual Accounts, assigning user roles or deleting accounts.
Virtual Account Administrator: Is a user that has been assigned to one or more Virtual Accounts by a Smart Account Administrator. They can complete license management tasks and user role assignment BUT ONLY to the Virtual Accounts to which they have been assigned to.
Virtual Account User: Has the exact same privileges as Smart Account User but their scope of license management is limited to the Virtual Account(s) they are assigned to.
