Join World Wide Technology for a hands-on workshop around F5 Terraform Automation Lab with our industry experts and the value it brings to your organization! Infrastructure-as-Code is a significant movement across the networking industry that builds on core principles within the DevOps movement that favor treating everything possible "as code." This workshop is a hands-on overview to introduce the concept of IaC (Infrastructure-as-Code) for managing F5 application services using BIG-IP Terraform Provider.
What to expect
- Perform initial configuration of a standalone BIG-IP. We will be learning how to automate the initial setup of objects like DNS, NTP, vlan's, self-ip's etc. using terraform provider.
- Update the terraform deployment to setup a standard HTTP virtual server in a imperative way.
- Utilize F5 AS3 and use declarative approach in setting up configuration objects.
- Provision BIG-IP Modules and deploy security policy.
- Utilize F5's DO (Declarative Onboarding) model to perform initial setup of BIG-IP objects using a declarative json file.
Goals and Objectives
The purpose of this workshop is to introduce Terraform as an automation tool to setup & manage BIG-IP configurations. Participants will have opportunity to interact with WWT automation experts and collaborate further to discuss specific use cases as per their environment.
