Join World Wide Technology’s industry experts for a hands-on workshop around integrating F5 BIG-IP and HashiCorp Vault and explore how these two solutions can be used for certification automation for web applications.

What to expect

This workshop provides a high-level overview about how the HashiCorp product suite integrates F5 BIG-IP accomplishing operational efficiency of common IT processes such as managing SSL/TLS certificates, F5 configuration drift, and application service discovery. This workshop will focus on and demonstrate how HashiCorp Vault integrates with F5 BIG-IP covering the following topics:

Automating the spin up and provisioning of HashiCorp Vault using Terraform, Ansible, and Docker
Building the process of applying F5 configurations using Terraform and F5 AS3
Orchestrating the scheduled process of rotating SSL/TLS certificates on a F5 BIG-IP device using HashiCorp Vault
Testing an NGINX hosted web application to verify a secure connection

Goals and Objectives

The purpose of this workshop is to introduce HashiCorp as a means of generating and rotating SSL/TLS certificates for F5 devices. Participants will have opportunity to interact with WWT automation experts and collaborate further to discuss specific use cases as per their environment.
