The VETS (Veterans Enabling Teams through Service) ERG is pleased to host this round table discussion focused on the meaning and observance of Memorial Day.
Featured Speakers
Dennis has been a Network engineer and architect for 30 years working for the U.S. Air Force, Conagra Brands and WWT. He specializes in network design and architecture for the LAN, MAN, WAN, Data Center and Internet Edge with focus on SD-WAN, QoS, ACI, DNA/SDA and wireless LAN.
His personal interests include watching baseball (MLB and his son's select team), astronomy, World War 2 history, RV camping and continuing to root hard for his first Buffalo Bills Super Bowl win.
Kelly is the Gold Star Mother of SPC. Corey Kowall. Her experiences as a Certified Life Coach, 10+ years as Business Owner and over 30 years in Sales & Marketing have proven to be very beneficial to this non-profit organizations and the programs it provides. Kelly is an active member of the American Gold Star Mothers Association, VFW Ladies Aux and the American Legion Ladies Aux.
Greg is passionate about supporting veterans and the ones that they love, as well as giving back to the community that has supported the family so strongly. Greg has been a business leader in the CyberSecurity field for over 25 years and sits on several business and non-profit boards.
What to expect
In this session, you will observe a round table discussion with several participants who have lost a loved one or colleague in service to our country. VETS ERG Lead Guy McDonald will facilitate the discussion that will include:
- History and meaning of Memorial Day
- Sharing of the story of each lost service member
- Hearing how each participant observes Memorial Day and the life of their loved ones
Goals and Objectives
Sharing the reason we observe Memorial Day by learning the stories of several service members who's sacrifice we honor on this day.
