The VETS (Veterans Enabling Teams through Service) ERG is pleased to host this round table discussion focused on the impact of the attacks of September 11, 2001.
Featured Speakers
Vince has been working in the Proposal and Bid Management field for over 30 years. He was born and raised in the lower east side of Manhattan and lived there for 41 years. His connection to the VETS ERG is his and his wife, Joy's (a former US Navy Corpsman) support and volunteer work for the Home Base Florida Veteran and Family Care Organization. Vince enjoys spending time at the beach, boating and going to the Florida Everblades hockey games.
Bill serves as the Senior Engagement Manager (SEM) for WWT's GA and FL Commercial East regions. Throughout his career, he has occupied diverse consulting and leadership roles across the Commercial Enterprise, Financial Services, and Service Provider sectors. Bill's professional qualifications include being a dual CCIE, along with an MBA and a Master's degree in Telecommunication Networks. He and his wife, Mary, along with their two sons, Chris and Constantine, live in Atlanta, GA.
Dan Gropp is a Consulting Systems Engineer at WWT. Preceding his time here he spent 2 years with Spectrum Enterprise and 22 years with Verizon Wireless. Gropp has been in the telecom industry since 1996 and prior to that he was in flight simulation for US military aircrafts under Lockheed Martin. He was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA and served for 12 years active and reserve for the Navy, two of which with the DC Air National Guard – Combat Comms.
Bruce is a Consulting System Engineer supporting the Navy team currently living outside of the San Diego area.
What to expect
In this session, you will observe a round table discussion with several WWT employees who have a first hand account of the attacks of 9/11. VETS ERG Lead Guy McDonald will facilitate the discussion that will include:
- Chronology of the attacks
- Sharing of the story of each guest - where they were and what they witnessed on that day and after
- How each guest observes or reflects on "Patriot Day" each year
Goals and Objectives
Sharing the events of 9/11 and the significant impact that it had on the country and particularly our panel of guests.
