Diversity & inclusion play an important role in maintaining businesses' competitive advantage. The St. Louis Business Journal is honoring leaders, from high-ranking executives to fast-moving entrepreneurs, who are making their mark.
It's been three years since the St. Louis Business Journal firstset out to revamp its existing awards program that celebrates those who promote diversity around race, sexual orientation and disability. We renamed it Champions for Diversity & Inclusion and refined the focus of the program to celebrate those who, through their work, are truly championing the cause of making St. Louis a more inclusive place to live and work.
In this year's class, we are honoring 14 individuals, one nonprofit and one for-profit company for their efforts. The 2023 honorees represent some of the region's largest private and public companies, including Edward Jones, World Wide Technology, Clayco and Washington University. Their roles range from CEOs and diversity, equity and inclusion officers to founders and vice presidents.
