Light Reading Recognizes WWT as Company of the Year Finalist
WWT's ability to help telecommunications service providers quickly consume and monetize innovative technologies is being recognized by Light Reading, which has named WWT a finalist for Company of the Year as part of its annual Leading Lights Awards.
The award is given to a privately held firm that stands out from its competitors, innovates constantly, makes investors proud and makes employees happy.
In shortlisting WWT for the award, Light Reading editors identified with WWT's Next-Generation Factory model, which helps operators quickly validate complex multi-vendor solutions in the Advanced Technology Center (ATC) before integrating and deploying them at scale through one of our global integration facilities.
"To thrive in a 5G world, service providers must re-architect their networks with new and unique combinations of software and hardware, while changing the way those networks are deployed and operated to better meet the rapidly changing needs of their customers," said Kraig Ecker, senior vice president of WWT's Global Service Provider organization. "Service providers using WWT's Next-Generation Factory model are able to more quickly deploy new revenue-generating services that leverage customizable solution blueprints — in key 5G areas such as NFV, mobile edge computing, telco cloud and open networking — that are validated with speed in our Advanced Technology Center (ATC) before being integrated and deployed at scale through our global integration facilities."
The Next-Generation Factory model delivers fully configured, multi-vendor racks that enable service providers to more rapidly monetize the 5G infrastructure they are investing in.
In collaboration with our extensive list of technology partners, WWT has created a portfolio of solution blueprints that can be customized and validated to meet the exact requirements of a service provider as they seek to maximize opportunities within strategic industry verticals. Such blueprints are available in key focus areas for service providers, such as 5G, mobile edge computing and Open RAN.
