As part of World Wide Technology's (WWT) management consulting group, Jorge Andrés Molina specializes in projects encompassing strategy, data analytics, and data science across various industries.

"My primary focus lies in solving my clients' problems and assisting them in advancing their strategies and visions," explains Molina, formerly a senior management consultant for artificial intelligence (AI) and analytics and now an engagement manager for WWT. "We tackle organizational challenges and objectives by leveraging the synergies of people, technology, and processes."

"Don't hesitate to reach out to individuals willing to offer guidance and insights about specific matters. Building a strong network is key; actively reaching out for potential opportunities can be highly advantageous. Remember there are always people eager to lend a helping hand and provide valuable advice along the way."

For instance, during Molina's initial assignment at WWT, which has a global headquarters in St. Louis, MO, he collaborated with a global mining company to optimize its haulage cycle at various mines. The primary objectives included effectively harnessing big data, enhancing safety measures, and uncovering untapped productivity potential. By utilizing advanced data science techniques, they meticulously analyzed real-time sensor data generated by the company's fleet of trucks. "Consequently, we developed an intuitive, user-centric web application and change-management tool tailored explicitly for truck drivers," elaborates Molina. "This innovative solution significantly enhanced driver safety, streamlined operations at the mine, and identified opportunities for optimization, ultimately driving improved financial outcomes for the company."

With WWT for three years, Molina was "initially captivated" by the company's unique culture and the nature of its work.

"WWT consistently earns recognition as one of the best places to work, and it's been an absolute pleasure collaborating with exceptional colleagues and leaders. The nature of the projects undertaken by WWT, combined with the extensive expertise and capabilities available within our team and organization, make it an ideal environment."

When it comes to searching for a job and finding one that captivates you, one piece of advice Molina offers is not to be afraid to ask questions.

"Don't hesitate to reach out to individuals willing to offer guidance and insights about specific matters," recommends Molina. "Building a strong network is key; actively reaching out for potential opportunities can be highly advantageous. Remember there are always people eager to lend a helping hand and provide valuable advice along the way."

For those interested in consulting, Molina indicates that firms tend to like candidates who demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, excel in collaborative team environments, and possess excellent communication skills.

In addition, if you're unsure of your career path or the necessary steps to achieve your goals, then he advises you to seek a mentor. "Look for someone who shares a similar background to yours and is currently in a position that aligns with your aspirations," encourages Molina. "Take the initiative to reach out and inquire if they'd be willing to guide and mentor you. This approach saves you valuable time, and al- allows individuals to provide you with invaluable guidance and support along your journey."
