WWT Partners with Cheeriodicals to Give Back to Local Hospitals
Assembling and delivering more than 1,000 Cheeriodicals for local children and veterans
This summer, WWT partnered with Cheeriodicals and Two Men and a Truck to deliver more than 1,000 care packages to local hospitals during our annual Integrated Management Leadership meetings.
We had more than 500 employees in attendance. WWT purchased all the materials for the care packages that were personalized for each hospital we planned to deliver to.
Everyone in attendance gathered for two hours in teams of eight to assemble the care packages and enjoy the team building activity. While assembling, employees got to hear from representatives from Cheeriodicals and some of the hospitals we'd be giving to.
Through our partnership with Cheeriodicals and Two Men and a Truck, employees were able to deliver the care packages in person to patients at Mercy Children's Hospital, SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital, St. Louis Children's Hospital and the VA St. Louis Health Care System. We also donated Cheeriodicals to The Ronald McDonald House and World Pediatric Project.
About Cheeriodicals
Cheeriodicals provides get well soon gifts for individuals and entire hospitals through their corporate team building activities.
The idea of Cheeriodicals originally started as a magazine-oriented hospital gift that would be an alternative to the traditional flowers and cookie gifts for hospital patients. Soon after its inception, the concept evolved to include gifts for a wide array of occasions that could be personalized with all the recipient's favorite magazines and edibles. The organization also allows the option of including additional consumer items from Williams Sonoma, Bath and Body Works and Starbucks gifts cards to create a Cheeriodical that your loved one will remember forever.
