November 1, 2023 – World Wide Technology (WWT), a global technology solutions provider, today announced a new partnership with PGA TOUR rookie Austin Eckroat.

The sponsorship of Eckroat will include the 24-year-old wearing the WWT logo on his apparel at all PGA TOUR events throughout the duration of his partnership. Eckroat, who debuted his new look at the Shriners Children's Open in October, becomes the sixth Golf Ambassador in the WWT family.

"We are excited about having Austin join the WWT Brand Ambassador Team," said Matt Horner, Executive Vice President, WWT. "Austin was a standout at the highly successful Oklahoma State Golf Program and emerged very quickly as one of the top young talents on the PGA Tour.  Austin's future is very bright and is an outstanding young man."

Eckroat turned professional in 2021, after being a three-time All-American golfer at Oklahoma State University. The Oklahoma native enjoyed a successful campaign on the Korn Ferry Tour last year, allowing him to earn his first PGA TOUR card for the 2022-2023 season. Eckroat is making the most of his opportunity on golf's biggest stage, with three top-10 finishes this year, including runner-up at the AT&T Bryon Nelson and a T-10 effort at the U.S. Open. His closing 5-under-par 65 at The Los Angeles Country Club, tied with Jon Rahm for the second-lowest score of the final round.

"When I arrived in Los Cabos, I was blown away by the condition of the El Cardonal course at Diamante, and the warm hospitality from World Wide Technology," said Eckroat. "I am honored to be partners with WWT, and look forward to a long relationship with them."

WWT's sponsorship of Eckroat builds on the company's existing involvement in the world of golf, with sponsorships and activations across numerous PGA TOUR events. A highlight is this week's World Wide Technology Championship taking place on the Tiger Woods-designed El Cardonal Course at award-winning Diamante in Los Cabos, Mexico. WWT is also title sponsor of the Advocates Professional Golf Association (APGA) Tour's Player Development Program. Other WWT Golf Ambassadors include PGA TOUR Champions star Billy Andrade; PGA TOUR standouts Ben Griffin, Harry Higgs, and Keith Mitchell; and Lauren Stephenson on the LPGA Tour.
