ST. LOUIS - June 4, 2015 – World Wide Technology, Inc., a market-leading technology integrator, acquired technology consulting firm, Asynchrony, Inc., from Schafer Corporation for an undisclosed fee. With the addition of the newly named Asynchrony Labs, World Wide Technology (WWT) now offers enterprises a single provider that understands both the infrastructure and application sides of technology initiatives; and the needs and concerns of both IT departments and lines of business. Furthermore, this acquisition extends WWT's core focus areas including big data, security, mobility, and software-defined networks and data centers.

"No matter how well technology infrastructure is architected and integrated, enterprises can only realize its full business value through equally well designed software applications," said Jim Kavanaugh, chief executive officer of WWT. "The strategic acquisition will allow WWT to deliver complete end-to-end business solutions, including custom user-facing software and the systems and infrastructure that support it."

A recognized leader in Agile development practices, Asynchrony specializes in application development, mobile computing, systems and sensor integration, enterprise architecture and tactical collaboration. Its diverse client base includes commercial, non-profit, and government organizations. The St. Louis-based firm has delivered solutions ranging from front-end mobile and desktop applications to government middleware integrating full-scale Cloud infrastructures.

"Our expertise in mobility and application development are an ideal complement to WWT's vast knowledge of systems architecture," said Bob Elfanbaum, co-founder and general manager of Asynchrony. "We're looking forward to working together to deliver end-to-end solutions for our growing client base."
