Aparna Kumar serves as the Analytics Practice Lead on the Public Sector Team at World Wide Technology (WWT). In this role, Aparna is responsible for all senior-level client engagement, pre-sales activities, and post-sales delivery for Public Sector data analytics and AI opportunities. She partners with WWT’s Public Sector clients on large-scale analytics projects to identify their most critical challenges and implement innovative solutions that serve their mission. Aparna has a proven track record of using a consultative approach to drive value for her clients through big data modeling, advanced analytics and data governance and democratization. She comes to WWT with 21 years of industry experience across the government, healthcare, financial services, insurance, and retail sectors. As Government Practice Lead at her prior firm, Aparna created and managed the entire business unit from the ground up, led all business development, and served as both account and delivery manager for the firm’s largest government clients. She has managed large teams of consultants, data scientists and technical developers to architect, design and deploy cloud-based analytics platforms with complex databases and analytical reporting suites to provide data-driven insights that support tactical and strategic decision making. Aparna received her MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in Economics and Mathematics of Finance. She splits time between her homes in New York City and Ithaca, where her husband Aaron is an assistant professor at Cornell University.
