About Joe
As President, Joe is responsible for WWT's overall go-to-market strategy and leads the company's entire sales operations organization, which includes global enterprise, service provider and public sector teams.
His galvanizing and people-first leadership style is largely responsible for WWT's transformational growth from a small startup in the 1990s into a global technology solutions provider with more than $17 billion in revenue that helps clients in all sectors think differently about technology and how it drives their businesses forward.
Joe's dedication to fostering strong relationships and commitment to doing whatever it takes has helped WWT craft lasting partnerships with client organizations and positioned the company as a key enabler to unlocking the power of IT modernization and digital transformation.
Joe joined WWT in 1993 as the company's 15th employee and was instrumental in shaping and scaling WWT's Integrated Management and Leadership program, which serves as the foundation for the company's award-winning culture that positively impacts employees and extends to clients and communities. He regularly facilitates company-wide development sessions that focus on various WWT core values such as coaching, difficult conversations and building trust.
Joe's story of strength and perseverance throughout his fight against cancer — he was diagnosed in 2017 with head and neck cancer and given a 50 percent chance to live beyond five years — remains an inspiration throughout the company and beyond. He credits his passion for learning, a healthy dose of grit and determination and a vast support system as key components in his journey to becoming a cancer survivor.
On a mission to "turn pain into purpose," Joe leverages his experience with cancer to give back through multiple avenues. He serves as board chair of the Missouri chapter of American Cancer Society's CEOs Against Cancer and remains active with the St. Louis-based Siteman Cancer Center, championing initiatives related to research and patient care. Joe also regularly serves as a mentor to cancer patients of all ages, spending time with them as they progress through their cancer journey.
Joe serves as board member and chair of Boys Hope Girls Hope and supports a number of other charities such as United Way, ALS, Ronald McDonald House and others. He sits on the advisory board for Saint Louis University's Chaifetz Center for Entrepreneurship, and in 2023 was inducted into the Chaifetz Center for Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame.
Joe holds a bachelor's degree in finance from Saint Louis University, where he played on the men's soccer team with WWT co-founder and CEO Jim Kavanaugh and CFO Tom Strunk.
Joe lives in the St. Louis area with his wife of over 30 years and has three sons and one grandchild.
