About Leo
As Senior Vice President of WWT's Global Accounts, Leo Makhlin is responsible for leading a team covering the Global Fortune 100 and continuing to build WWT's global client vision, strategy and execution.
With more than 20 years of IT industry experience, Leo is an accomplished technology sales leader with a global perspective and extensive exposure to markets in Australia, Asia-Pacific, Japan, China, the United States and Europe.
Prior to joining WWT, in 2013, Leo was Managing Director of Enterprise Technology Sourcing at JPMorgan in Manhattan where he led a team responsible for the firm-wide strategic sourcing of enterprise technology. In this role, Leo partnered closely with the Group CIO and his leadership team to efficiently source all major technology categories, manage risk, enable long-term company growth, and deliver commercial outcomes aligned with the firm's technology vision and strategy.
Before joining JPMorgan, Leo was Vice President of Sales at Cisco, where he led the automotive and manufacturing vertical within the Global Enterprise Theatre and all inbound sales in Asia-Pacific, Japan and China as part of his portfolio.
From 2008, Leo was Cisco's Client Director for JPMorgan Chase for five years. Managing a global team, he was responsible for the relationship with JPMorgan globally. Leo led the transformation and development of the JPMorgan account into the largest Enterprise account in the world for Cisco, while simultaneously affecting the largest positive swing in customer satisfaction.
Prior to joining Cisco in 1999, Leo held several senior sales positions with Hewlett-Packard in Sydney, Australia, over the course of his five-year tenure.
Leo is stimulated by the challenge of business leadership and enjoys leading and motivating teams to deliver results in a highly dynamic business environment. Results-oriented and committed to the principle that motivated people and great teamwork achieve success, Leo is driven by achieving financial and strategic goals through building and sustaining loyal and high-performing teams. These traits are coupled with a desire for continuous learning and development in both professional and personal contexts.
Leo holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with majors in Marketing and Economics from the University of Wollongong in New South Wales, Australia.
Leo lives in New York with his wife and has two daughters.
