About Shawn
As Vice President of WWT's State and Local Government and Education (SLED) teams, Shawn Rodriguez is responsible for developing and executing all go-to-market strategies and activities, including field sales hiring and enablement, integrated field marketing, contract capture, vertical business development, partner and solution alignment, and overall growth.
With more than 25 years of experience and a passion for SLED, Shawn helps agencies and institutions meet the rapidly evolving expectations of their constituents while navigating the challenges of digital transformation, budgetary constraints, regulatory requirements and complex procurement processes.
Prior to joining WWT, Shawn served as Vice President of SLED at Forescout Technologies and Splunk. He started his sales career at NetApp and Nortel Networks, where he was also heavily focused on SLED.
Outside of WWT, Shawn has served on many boards and committees, including the National Association of State Chief Information Officers (NASCIO), the Commonwealth of Virginia Innovative Technology Symposium (COVITS), and the Commonwealth of Virginia Joint Commission on Technology and Science. He currently serves as a board director and founding member of the National Association of Government Technology Alliance Partners (GovTAP) and proudly serves on WWT's Global Community Impact Advisory Council.
His work, passion and commitment to customer outcomes in the government and education markets have earned him the StateScoop50 Industry Leadership of the Year Award in 2015, 2020 and 2023, as well as recognition as one of The Consulting Group's Top 25 Education Consultants and Leaders of 2024.
Shawn holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the Belk College of Business at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
Shawn and his family live in Richmond, VA, and enjoy spending time together at the beach in the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
