With over 30 years of IT and Cyber Security experience, Steve Meyer has a proven track record of success in building teams and relationships, communicating vision, developing risk mitigation strategies and leading teams that respond to crises with calm confidence. As a Senior Consulting Security Architect with World Wide Technology, Mr. Meyer provides sales enablement with cyber security solutions for multiple account teams across the SLED space. He serves as a subject matter expert and works with security leadership within customer accounts to align solutions to security frameworks and requirements. Understanding customers' needs, and demonstrating how security products and services can strategically empower business is at the core of his practice. Previous to WWT, Mr. Meyer was a 21 year civil servant with the State of Missouri, with his most recent position being Chief Information Security Officer. During this time, he provided leadership, direction, and vision for security strategies to protect the enterprise and citizens while championing the overall organizational objectives. He was instrumental in establishing the Security Operations Center, developing comprehensive standardized security requirements for the procurement process, implementing shared security services across non-consolidated agencies, and reducing operational risk through governance initiatives. During this time, he was involved (including working groups, committees and presentations) with various collaborative associations, such as NASCIO, NGA, NASTD and MS-ISAC.
