Meet our team
While the ATC is home to world-class hardware and software capabilities, its true differentiator is the people who run it.
Derik leads the ATC storage team, which consists of a small group of well tenured architects that have deep expertise in single- and multi-tier storage arrays, data protection and database performance. This team has led several successful engagements and delivered detailed results that leave the customer very impressed with their testing capabilities.
Chris is the manager of our compute team that focuses on server infrastructure, converged and hyper-converged, virtualization, containers and container platforms, virtual desktop infrastructure and sustainability technologies. The compute teams has grown into a group of highly respected industry experts and consistently go above and beyond on their engagements.
Dave is the head of our large network team, which also includes Chris Hoff as an additional manager. The network team executes on engagements that include SD-WAN, data center fabric, software-defined networking, campus and branch networking, and wireless. They have done numerous regression testing for some of our largest customers and have greatly improved our wireless testing capabilities.
Josh runs the security team that works on customer security engagements as well as WWT's Cyber Range and Capture the Flag environments and events. This team leads engagements on next-gen firewall products, secure access services edge (SASE), endpoint detection and response, and other security architecture and infrastructure services.
John is the lead of our ATC collaboration group, which focuses on digital workspace topics including telephony and video services, contact center systems, on-premises and cloud meeting systems, and messaging technologies. Most environments are virtualized, so they can be quickly deployed using WWT's vCloud private cloud service. Customer education is an important part of their mission, so they work on labs and learning paths extensively.
Paul is the manager of the lab services automation team, which focuses on developing solutions to support the lab services group and helps out on customer engagements when needed. Some of the apps that have been created or improved upon from this group are Traffic Jam, POCDOC and the Lab Service Toolbox.
John leads the project management team, which is responsible for all lab project engagements in the ATC. This team is accountable for managing resources, preparing budgets, monitoring progress, and keeping stakeholders informed throughout the project lifecycle. Tim Winters reports to John, and serves in a dual role as team lead and Field Enablement/Business Development Manager.
Dan is the leader of the ATC project validation team, a group that handles the project intake from a technical side by providing assistance to our customers that need help developing their lab engagement. They also have a direct relationship to our business unit managers to help give them reporting and forecast into the pipeline of requests and looking back to see if priorities should shift.
Marty manages the ATC testing team that runs traffic generation tools. His team uses both IXIA and Spirent for L2/L3 and application level traffic. They also have Spirent's OCTOBOX, which is a wireless testing chamber that eliminates outside interference to provide a clean air environment.
Ryan leads our engineering team, which is responsible for aiding in the build and completion of efforts within the ATC. This is accomplished by partnering with ATC architects, OEM partners and customers to deliver while growing the skills of the team members.
