VMware NSX-V to NSX-T Migration Workshop
VMware NSX is a leading software-defined data center networking and security product. However, there are two variants under the NSX umbrella that can cause confusion. These variants are NSX Data Center for vSphere (NSX-V) and NSX-T Data Center. Of these two variants, NSX-T is the successor, and NSX-V will be end-of-support in January 2022. This is a major architectural shift, and this workshop aims to prepare you for it.
What to Expect
Work closely with WWT architects to adequately prepare your data center for the transition from the sunsetted NSX for vSphere product to an NSX-T Data Center environment.
- VMware NSX-V architecture overview
- VMware NSX-T architecture overview
- Migration of networking components from NSX-V to NSX-T
- Migration of security policies from NSX-V to NSX-T
- Operational considerations
Goals & Objectives
You've discovered that VMware will not be providing any further feature updates to the NSX for vSphere product and will soon be end-of-support. How do you ensure that your data center powered by NSX-V is not left vulnerable or obsolete? Request this workshop to begin the planning process—do not underestimate the magnitude of a migration.
WWT's goal during this workshop is to provide the audience a solid understanding of how their current NSX-V environment will be transitioned to an NSX-T environment and what can be expected from a migration. There are several key differences between these two architectures to be aware of, and this workshop will make you aware of them.
