CORE ROUTING LABS
Service Provider Core Routing ensures data packets reach their destinations quickly and efficiently. It's a critical aspect of the infrastructure for any large network. This page provides links to labs dedicated to Service Provider networks and the associated protocols. This section provides the basic building blocks for a Service Provider network including MPLS, L3VPN, BGP, and ISIS. The following sections will expand into Segment Routing, IPv6, SDWAN, TDM-to-IP, and Optical Transport.
CORE ROUTING FUNDAMENTALS - SEGMENT ROUTING
Segment Routing with MPLS or SR-MPLS is the successor to MPLS. SR-MPLS makes the network more robust and intelligent while improving scalability and capacity utilization, leading to lower cost and greater user satisfaction. Segment Routing uses source routing by encoding the path in the packet header. SR-MPLS is highly robust and delivers greater control and flexibility than ever before. This lab provides a hands-on environment that will introduce the user to the basic concepts and various configurations of Segment Routing.
