Nokia 1830 CDC Alien Wave Creation

This lab will demonstrate the Nokia 1830 PSI-8L CDC system's functionality as an open line system utilizing "Alien" wavelengths, a common use case in multi-vendor and multi-platform environments. The user will walk through the steps involved with creating an unkeyed Alien OCH, thereby building the basis for connecting the Alien devices (NCS-57C3) and establishing a 400G end-to-end channel. Upon completion the user will verify the NCS-57C3 coherent pluggable optic ports are in an up state and free of alarms.

The purpose of this lab is:

•  Familiarize the user with the operational provisioning task of creating a 400G Alien OCH (alien wave) between two 1830 PSI-8L optical line systems
• Use of Nokia's NFM-T (Network Functions Manager - Transport) to provision the Alien OCH
• Use of CLI and Web UI for different tasks with the PSI-8L
• Verify the Alien device (NCE-57C3) coherent pluggable optics are in service upon completion

This is one of many circuit variations available to an operator. It's worthwhile to become familiar with it considering the prevalence of this type of use case. 

• Nokia's NFM-T is running on software version 22.6, while the network elements (1830 PSI-8L) are loaded with 13.1.
