Intro to Segment Routing Lab
MPLS has been around for over two decades and is the cornerstone of Service Provider Networks and many enterprise, utility and federal networks. MPLS delivers mission-critical applications and services. Segment Routing has taken the stage to replace MPLS because it accomplishes the same as MPLS but is less complex, extremely robust and can be scaled without limitations. This lab will introduce you to the basics of Segment Routing.

IP Routing Lab for Optical Engineers
There is a movement in the industry to combine the optical network and the routed network, with Cisco leading the charge. The architecture is known as RON, Routed Optical Networks. With the RON architecture, the services that Optical Engineers are accustomed to delivering within the optical network are now provided via the routed network. Services such as site-to-site traffic demand, path selection, and path protection. With this shift in architecture, there is a growing requirement for optical engineers' expertise to span both optical and routing. This lab is designed to demonstrate how the routed network delivers these services and how to configure a basic RON network using Segment Routing.

Optical Data Center Interconnect (DCI): Infinera Groove G30 Lab
With innovative, modular, open plug-and-play capabilities, the Infinera Groove G30 can be customized for any required application based on the installation of specific modules and pluggables into the common chassis. Infinera supports a wide range of modules for DWDM transmission, muxponder, and transponder applications. Open Line System (OLS) applications are enabled with optical multiplexer structures, amplifiers and additional active optical layer functions such as protection switching, and integrated OTDR.

Nokia 1830 PSS Lab: Provisioning Connections With NFM-T
This lab utilizes Nokia's Network Functions Manager for Transport to demonstrate how to add nodes, followed by commissioning the optical nodes using their design file and then building Infrastructure Trails that would carry customer traffic. It concludes by demonstrating the decommissioning and uninstall of the Infrastructure Trails and Nodes.

Multi-Domain ‌SR-TE Lab‌
Organizations rely on MPLS on multiple platforms to deliver mission-critical applications and services. Segment Routing is the evolution of traditional MPLS, and here we look at SR-MPLS and Traffic Engineering across multiple domains with an SR-PCE (Path Computation Element). Traffic Engineering has been around for many years as RSVP-TE; however, being very cumbersome and complex, it has gained very little popularity with few deployments. Segment Routing Traffic Engineering adds a new dimension to Segment Routing including the ability to perform end-to-end traffic engineering across multiple IGP domains.

NCS-1004 Transponder Using Alien Waves Lab
This lab will demonstrate the Cisco NCS-1004 transponder system's functionality and a common use case: adding it to an existing DWDM system as an "alien" device utilizing "alien" wavelengths.

Nokia 1830 CDC Alien Wave Creation
This lab demonstrates the flexibility when combining two different platforms to carry routed traffic directly over an optical line system. Nokia's 1830 PSI-8L serves as the open line system with Cisco's NCS-57C3 acting as the "Alien" device. In a seamless operation, a 400G alien wave will be created across the PSI-8L CDC architecture to carry data between the NCS using ZR+ pluggable coherent optics.
